Mini-Nubians are a cross between a Nubian goat and a Nigerian goat. They were developed to have the high quality milk of a Nubian in a smaller sized goat, with providing 2/3 the amount of milk of a full-grown Nubian. Mini-Nubians consume half the grain and hay than a full grown Nubian and also require less pasture. The does preferred height is between 22-28 inches. Bucks can range between 22-31 inches. The Mini-Nubians short height and positive attitude makes them easier to handle. The higher the generations, the closer that goat will adhere to the MDGA standards. When Mini-Nubians are bred, the babies will become one generation higher than parent with the lowest generation. An example of this is if a 4th generation is bred with a 1st generation, the baby will be a 2nd generation.
